USPG Celebration 2018

It was a real joy to be able to join together to celebrate USPG with 81 former USPG members of staff and a wide variety of long and short term mission personnel at All Saints Church Margaret Street in London on Saturday 22 September.

During the Eucharist Fr Herbert, Anglican Chaplain to the Filipino Community in the Diocese of Leicester, spoke of the challenge and opportunities of mission today with particular reference to the Iglesia Filipina Independiente (download his sermon). We then shared lunch with an opportunity to catch up with old friends spanning 70 or so  years of USPG’s recent mission.

The afternoon continued with further information on the work of USPG and our partners, our new strategy, new publications, an encouragement to invite others to join in our short term mission programmes and a signposting to future events which all are warmly welcome to attend, before tea and a further opportunity to chat with old friends.

We look forward to growing the event again next year, on Saturday 21 September 2019.
